The third prize winner of a $250 Harley Davidson gift certificate was Mike Bachand.
This is the 23rd successful Harley Davidson Raffle, and the Spirit of the North is proud to announce that more than $1 million has been raised through this annual fundraiser.
“The membership of the Prince George Firefighters IAFF local 1372 are a group dedicated to making our community a better place through both the on-duty work as well as off-duty fundraising activities,” said Mark Dorval, Prince George Fire Fighters Harley Davidson Raffle Committee Chair, in a news release. “I would like to thank our members, management team, Costco wholesale and Harley Davidson of Prince George for their efforts and contributions. Also, a special thanks to the Spirit of the North, whose partnership with us on this event ensures its continued success and benefit to everyone in our community.”
All proceeds from the raffle will go to the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation and will be directed to funding two portable echo ultrasounds at UHNBC.
“We are once again extremely happy to see that the hard work and continued commitment by the members of Prince George Firefighters IAFF Local 1372 along with Len Hall and the staff at Harley Davidson has seen such a tremendous response,” said Judy Neiser, CEO Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation. “We really do appreciate our partnership immensely with these supporting groups along with the generosity of all of those who annually support this raffle. It is so satisfying to see the smiles on each of the winners faces and their comments that they were ‘only supporting a great cause,’ and didn’t really think they would win are very touching. This is what makes community and supports the concept that healthcare really does touch us all. Funding of two portable ECHO ultrasounds is an amazing contribution to healthcare in the north.”
