COVID-19: Cougars sending planyers home

Based on the information it is receiving from medical professionals, the Canadian Hockey League, and the Western Hockey League, the Prince George Cougars have decided to send players home to their families until further notice as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

“The Cougars takes the safety of our players, staff members, fans, and everyone associated with the WHL very seriously,” according to a statement released by the club. “We will continue to monitor ongoing public health developments regarding COVID-19. We thank you for your understanding and patience.”

Earlier this week the league paused its season as a result of the pandemic.
