The Climb for Cancer Planning Committee is closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation.
At this time, the event is scheduled to go ahead as planned on April 18. If the BC Ministry of Health order that events over 250 people be cancelled is not lifted by close to this date and it is unsafe to host the Climb for Cancer, it will be postponed and likely held in late summer 2020.
“Cancer does not stop for this virus and people with cancer are at a higher risk if they contract COVID-19,” according to a post on the event’s Facebook page. “We are still accepting and welcoming donations on our online platform and all money raised for the Climb for Cancer will go to the Kordyban Lodge even if the event needs to be postponed.”
