The Westwood Church in Prince George Board of Elders have decided to suspend weekend worship services for March 15 and 22 due to COVID-19 concerns.
“In line with recent recommendations, we believe it is the best course of action to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by suspending all gatherings of 250 or more at Westwood Church between March 15 and 22,” according to a statement on the church’s website. “We have made this decision to promote the health and well being of those in our community, especially the most vulnerable.”
The board will reassess the situation after March 22.
