The Northern Capitals of the B.C. Hockey Female Midget AAA League completed their regular season with a win and two losses against the Fraser Valley Rush. In games played at Kin 2, the Capitals skated to a 4-1 victory on Friday, lost 6-0 on Saturday and 5-3 on Sunday. The Caps finished with an 18-12-2-0 record and will end up in third place behind the Rush and the league-leading Greater Vancouver Comets. Those two teams will play a doubleheader next weekend to wrap up the regular schedule.

The minor midget Cariboo Cougars clinched a regular-season championship thanks to a pair of weekend wins against the visiting Vancouver Northwest Hawks. The Cougars downed the Hawks 5-2 on Saturday and 3-2 on Sunday and finished the season at 26-5-1-0. Their 53 points are two more than the second-place Okanagan Rockets (25-6-0-1). Offensively, Scott Cousins led the Cougars during the season with 28 goals and 57 points in 28 games.

At the major bantam level, the Cariboo Cougars dropped a pair of weekend games to the Greater Vancouver Canadians, 4-3 on Saturday and 3-1 on Sunday, both in Richmond. The Cats, currently in fourth place in the eight-team league, will finish their regular schedule with a doubleheader next weekend against the Vancouver Northeast Chiefs (7:30 p.m. Saturday, 8:45 a.m. Sunday) at Kin 1.
