The buzz continues – The Birds and the Bees extended again

Miracle Theatre’s professional production of the comedy The Birds and the Bees, is certainly causing a big buzz in the city.  Tickets for the original run sold out quickly and now there are only a handful of the hold over tickets left.

“And the phone is still ringing for more tickets,” said producer Anne Laughlin. “While there were lots of logistics to work out, there is now good news that we are able to extend the length of the original hold over.  Extending the run again means The Birds and The Bees will continue until March 11.”

Laughlin and director, designer Ted Price are thrilled that this professional theatre production is proving so popular and want to accommodate as many people as possible.

“The more people seeing the play, the more funds we can raise,” said Price.

All proceeds are being donated to The Children of Prince George Fund under the trusteeship of the Prince George Community Foundation.   Miracle Theatre started The Children’s Fund last year with a donation of $84,000 from its production of Halfway There.  At this time they anticipate reaching their goal of growing the fund to over $150,000 with The Birds and The Bees.

Tickets are now available for the additional 8 p.m. performances which means the show’s new closing date is Wednesday March 11.    Scheduling constraints mean the play must close on this date so Price is encouraging those wanting to catch The Birds and The Bees to get their tickets now.

Tickets are $34, available at Books and Company or by phone at 250-563-6637.  Performances take place at ArtSpace.
