One dead, one injured in three-vehicle crash south of Prince George

One person is dead following a three-vehicle crash on Highway 97 south of Prince George Thursday morning.

The accident occurred shortly after 9 a.m. between Patterson Road East and Courval Road, south of Pineview.

Police say a logging, an SUV and a pickup truck collided, sending the logging trucks load on to the highway.

One person has been confirmed dead and another was sent to hospital with undetermined injuries. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.

The highway remains closed. DriveBC estimates the highway will re-open at 8 p.m. No detour is available.
