Street Crew Unit seize more drugs and cash

One person was arrested and drugs and cash were seized as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation in our community.

On Friday February 14, members of the Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit conducted a traffic stop on Foothills Boulevard as part of a drug trafficking investigation that began in 2019.  The 34-year-old male driver was arrested and found to be in possession of approximately $10,000 in cash.  The vehicle was seized as part of the investigation.

As a result of this arrest and the investigation leading up to it, the Street Crew Unit obtained and executed search warrants on a residence in the 1200 block of North Ospika Boulevard and on a residence on Orbin Place in Prince George.  During these searches a large amount of methamphetamine and cocaine was seized, say police, along with drug trafficking paraphernalia and what is believed to be in excess of $50,000 in cash.

The suspect was held for investigation and later released pending further investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
