Community Foundation increases grant limits to celebrate 25th anniversary

The Prince George Community Foundation is making some changes to its annual grant intake in honour of its 25th Anniversary in 2020.

Effective immediately, eligible registered charities will be able to apply for up to $10,000 during the spring and fall grant intakes.

“The board and staff of the Prince George Community Foundation are pleased to increase the grant levels in our 25th anniversary year as a direct result of the numerous donors who have gifted funds to the Foundation through establishing an endowment fund or contributing to an existing fund,” said Board President Alain LeFebvre. “We are excited to be able to provide even more support to worthy registered charities and the work that they do here in Prince George.”

In addition to increasing our grant intake limits, the foundation will offer a one-time $25,000 grant in honor of the foundation’s anniversary year thanks to the generous contribution of Canadian Tire – Prince George. The application deadline for this special grant is March 15, 2020 along with our regular spring granting cycle.

“Canadian Tire – Prince George is pleased to partner with the PG Community Foundation for this special grant during their 25th anniversary year,” said Selen Alpay, Owner – Canadian Tire Prince George. “Canadian Tire, like the PGCF, believes in the work that so many registered charities in our community do on a daily basis and hope that these funds will be able to help make a difference to even more people.”

The updated grant application and guidelines can be found on the foundation’s website. Please review the grant guidelines on our website: www.pgcf.ca/grants prior to submitting your application. Enquiries can be directed to the office.
