Eagles shut out Spruce Kings 3-0

Friday night at the South Surrey Arena was not the Spruce Kings (16-25-5) night as they fell to the Surrey Eagles (19-20-7) by a 3-0 score.

Christophe Tellier and Hudson Schandor had two points each, while Tellier was also credited with the eventual game winning goal that came in the second period. Surrey goaltender and Cloverdale native Reece Klassen stopped all 35 shots he saw en route to a shutout for Surrey. Carter Woodside stopped 22 out of 25 in the defeat for Prince George.

SUR: Christophe Tellier (25) released a rocket of a one timer past Carter Woodside on the power-play to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead. Brendan Kim and Hudson Schandor were credited with the helpers on the marker at 6:35.

SUR: At 11:06 of the second frame, Hassan Akl was able to net home his 2nd of the year on a rebound off a shot from Wyatt Schlaht to make it 2-0 Surrey.

Third Period:

SUR: At 11:46 of the third, a very pretty play between Hudson Schandor and Christophe Tellier resulted in a tic tac goal to put the Eagles up by 3. Jimmy Darby was credited with the secondary helper.
