Orthodontics office creating smiles this holiday season with hampers and turkey dinner

Lo Elliott Orthodontics staff spreading Christmas cheer this year.

For a 12th consecutive year, the doctors, staff, and patients of are making spirits bright for more than 50 low income seniors in Prince George.

Since November 1 staff at the orthodontics office, located in the Lakewood Dental Centre on 15th Avenue, have been collecting donations from patients and colleagues to fill the hampers which were donated and delivered on Monday.

The initiative, which is spearheaded by Doctor Francine Lo and Doctor Robert Elliott, is an opportunity for their entire team to connect over the holiday season while giving back to their community. Patients have been eagerly contributing to fill the 50+ hampers which were stuffed full of essentials and goodies for Christmas. The patient’s donations are supplemented by donations and purchases by the staff of the orthodontics office to help deliver the best gift they can, and to brighten the day of the seniors who will receive the hamper.

In addition to hand delivering the hampers, the entire Lo-Elliott team, including the doctors, served a hot turkey lunch to the group of seniors. Even Santa Claus joined team to bring that extra Christmas Cheer to the festivities.

“Giving back and connecting with the community we serve is something that is extremely important to us both personally and as a business,” said Dr. Robert Elliott. “Francine and I are truly humbled by the generosity of our patients with their donations towards these hampers, and also by our staff and team who put so much of their own time, effort, and donations into making these gifts truly special for the folks who will receive them. Hands down, we have the best patients, and without a doubt we have the best team. It is quite an incredible opportunity to spend the afternoon serving lunch, and delivering these hampers to these seniors in our community who might be looking for just a little hand this Holiday Season. I am truly thankful for the opportunity to do my small part this Christmas.”

Over the past 12 years over 600 hampers from the patients and staff at Lo-Elliott have been delivered to seniors in Prince George during the holiday season. The doctors and team at Lo-Elliott believe that Christmas is a really special time to give back in the community, but the organization is community-minded year-round. www.PerfectSmile.ca | #LoElliottSmiles

“Our team is exactly that – a team,” said Dr, Francine Lo. “We all work closely together, we have really great connections and bonds, and we all share in the values that are important to our Practice which is; bringing our patients the best results in achieving a Perfect Smile, all while providing a fun and inclusive treatment experience. But also, being exceptional corporate citizens and giving back to the community we do business in. Prince George is very special to us, it is where my father started this practice, and it is where Robert and I continue to practice. We offer scholarships, sponsorships, and give back with every opportunity we get, because we see how important it is for us and our staff to buy into building up our community. Robert and I are so thankful and proud of what our team accomplishes year-round, and these hampers are a perfect example of what we can accomplish together. We would encourage everyone to give what they can this Holiday Season, whether it be big or small, something tangible, or even your time by volunteering. Everyone can do their part in making someone’s Christmas just a little brighter, and we thank our patients and staff for doing just that with our hampers in 2019.”
