The St. Vincent de Paul and Northern Undergraduate Student Society food banks are little fuller today, thanks to a shopping spree funded by several local businesses.
Organized by the Northern Sport Centre, local businesses each donated $500 to the cause and then Thursday morning went on a shopping spree at the College Heights Save-On Foods to spend the money. Six businesses and individuals donated to the food drive – Northern Sport Centre, Brink Group of Companies, Family Dental Care, Surjit Minhas, Save-On Foods, and UNBC.
This is the fourth annual food drive organized by the Northern Sport Centre.
