Prince George residents travel to Calgary to help children in need

Prince George residents Frieda and George Krahn made the long trip to the Operation Christmas Child warehouse in Calgary to help inspect gift-filled shoeboxes before they are sent to children in Central America and west Africa. “We’ve filled shoeboxes for children in need since the mid-1990s,” said George, explaining why they travelled so far to volunteer with Operation Christmas Child. “We know (that through these shoeboxes) children are receiving things their families could never afford.” Prince George residents can still help children by packing shoeboxes. Just visit www.PackaBox.ca and do it online from the comfort of home. Photo submitted
