The Prince George Hospice Society has announced a new campaign to support the renovation of the Rotary Hospice House
The Rotary Hospice House was renovated 10 years ago, in 2009, at the request of Northern Health to expand services to 10 beds. Since then Hospice has cared for more than 3,320 people and the rooms and equipment need some care. The scope of the renovations includes painting the walls, replacing window coverings, new guest room furniture, and new medical equipment that is reaching its expiry date.
Hospice is asking community organizations and individual to help it care for Prince George Rotary Hospice House by donating $25,000 to name one of the 10 guest rooms.
They have been fortunate as five rooms have already named already by the following groups:
- Yellowhead Rotary in memory of Del Laverdure
- The Legault family
- PG Motors
- Greg and Sandra Zoerb
- PG Downtown Rotary Club
There are additional naming opportunities that support the Hospice House, such as the play room, the family suite and a variety of lounges and quiet rooms. Please contact Hospice directly to discuss these opportunities.
