More drug trafficking arrests and search warrants

The Prince George RCMP have arrested two men in connection an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.

Thursday evening Prince George RCMP’s Street Crew Unit arrested a 28-year-old man and a 34-year-old man outside a residence on Garvin Street.  Due to safety concerns, investigators were assisted by the North District RCMP’s Emergency Response Team and the Prince George RCMP’s police dog Service.

Search warrants were executed at a residence on Garvin Street as well as a residence on the 2900 block of 15th Avenue in Prince George.  More than a kilogram of cocaine and methamphetamine was seized, along with a handgun, ammunition and a large amount of cash.

Both suspects were released without charge at this time, pending the completion of the investigation and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada.
