The Prince George RCMP have recently received counterfeit currency reports from retailers in Prince George. American $50 bills have been the primary denomination being passed.
Although it has yet to be confirmed, these incidents are similar to a string of reports throughout Saskatchewan, Alberta and the southern interior of B.C. As such, retailers in Prince George and throughout the province should use extra caution when receiving American currency as payment.
