UNBC, faculty association agree to mediator

The University of Northern British Columbia Faculty Association has asked that a special mediator be appointed to move negotiations along, according to a strike update on the university’s website.

“This is an approach the employer supports,” reads the website post. “Hopefully this will lead to continued productive conversations that will result in students returning to class and our employees coming back to work.”

The faculty association has been on strike since November 7.
