Northern Health has received reports of a company allegedly soliciting donations from northern B.C. businesses on behalf of local hospitals, for the book to be donated to children in hospital.
Northern Health advises businesses receiving phone calls requesting donations to check very carefully about the origin of such solicitations before making a donation.
People who are interested in making financial contributions to healthcare in Northern BC are encouraged to do so through local hospital foundations and auxiliaries, and other charitable organizations whose work supports health projects and health services delivery in northern B.C.
