One injured in shooting early Saturday morning

One man was injured in an early morning shooting in the Fifth Avenue and Central Street Integris Credit Union parking lot Saturday.

Police were called out just before 6:30 a.m. to a residence on Irwin Street where they discovered the wounded man. Officers spoke with the victim, who was transported to hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries as a result of a single gunshot wound.  The scene of the shooting was determined to be in the parking lot of the local credit union.

Investigators believe this incident was not random and occurred as a result of a disagreement between the victim and a small group of suspects.

Investigators are requesting the public’s assistance to identify those involved and are asking anyone in the area with exterior security cameras to contact police.
