Police trying to identify shoplifting suspect

Prince George RCMP have released a photo of a woman they are trying to identify in connection with a shoplifting incident last month.

The incident occurred October 9 at a store on Ferry Avenue and was reported to police two days later.

A woman left the store with more than $200 worth of merchandise concealed in a bag.  Store staff confronted the suspect who dropped the bag and fled on foot.

Investigators are requesting the public’s help to identify the suspect.  The suspect is described as:

  • First Nations female
  • Approximately 40 years old
  • Brown eyes
  • Brown hair that may have been dyed lighter
  • Wearing a grey hoody and a black toque with “#1” on it
