Bantam AA Bobcats split games in Whitehorse

In bantam double-A competition, the North Central Bobcats beat Yukon 7-5 on Saturday in Whitehorse, after a 4-1 loss on Friday.

On Saturday, the Bobcats connected for four goals in the first period and held on for the win. Keenan Holland, Callas Pierce (2) and Jayden Cunningham put the Bobcats in position for the victory and, in the second period, Logan Hauk, Marek Brideau and Hunter Potskin added to the total. The Bobcats were up 4-1 after the opening 20 minutes and 7-3 after 40.

Brady Mackay was the winning goaltender.

In Friday’s loss, Holland had the only goal for the Bobcats. Navann Lamarre was between the pipes.
