Break and enter into garage leads to arrest of local man

A 39-year-old Prince George man is facing charges following a break and enter in a garage on Johnson Street Tuesday.

Police were called at about 2:30 a.m. after an alarm was triggered.

Officers attended and attempted to clear the garage.  A man was located hiding under a vehicle in the garage.  The man attempted to run from police, but was apprehended by officers shortly after.  He was taken into custody without further incident.

Jeffrey Nik Krafczyk has been charged by the BC Prosecution Service with the following Criminal Code offences:

  • Break and enter with intent
  • Possession of break-in instruments
  • Resist arrest
  • Fail to comply with Recognizance (2 counts)

The charges of failing to comply with recognizance are in relation to a previous investigation where Krafczyk has been charged.  Krafczyk was held in custody and was expected to be in court today.
