6ixSigma Productions is presenting a one-time screening of the Telus funded documentary Mr.Berry at the Prince George Playhouse on Friday November 8 at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m.
Mr.Berry features Brij Berry, a Prince George resident and long time math teacher, who has been teaching and tutoring math in the community of Prince George for over 65 years. He’s not tech savvy but he’s the “Einstein” of math in the community, and anyone who has met Mr. Berry can tell you what a special man he is.
Through discussions with Mr. Berry and personal stories told by his past and present students, the documentary explores the impacts of Mr.Berry’s patience and understanding, and what it means to dedicate your life to the challenges faced as a youth.
Proceeds from the premiere will support the funding of a UNBC bursary in honour of Mr.Berry’s passion for math. Cookies and tea will be served before the show, which is a signature snack provided by Mr. Berry during his tutoring sessions.
Opening and closing remarks will be given by Jason Hamborg co-founder of 6ix Sigma Productions, as well as Daniel Stark, the director of the film.
