The Exploration Place’s annual Rotten Pumpkin Festival, featuring old pumpkins being catapulted across the museum’s parking lot, has been cancelled.
The weather forecast is calling for snow and/or rain on Friday, November 1, which means The Exploration Place simply cannot operate the 20-foot catapult under those conditions.
“SO SAD! But health and safety for my team has to come first so we are cancelling this year’s Rotten Pumpkin Festival,” said Tracy Calogheros, The Exploration Place CEO in a statement. “We will take another run at it in 2020. Or should that be… we’ll give it another fling?”
