A man who was involved in a fight late Friday night was found dead in his home the next morning. Police believe his death was the result of injuries sustained in the fight.
The fight occurred at about 11:20 p.m. near the intersection of 20th Avenue and Redwood Street. As a result of this incident, 35-year-old Gregory Wale suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital for medical attention. Shortly after arrival at the hospital, Wale left on his own accord prior to receiving medical attention.
Just before 7 p.m. on Saturday, Wale was located deceased at his residence on Edmonton Street in Prince George. The cause of death is believed to be related to the altercation.
The Prince George RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit were called in to lead the investigation. Attempts to locate the person responsible for the injuries are underway, however he is yet to be identified.
Investigators believe that many people witnessed this altercation and are asking them to come forward and provide information.
