Independent running in Cariboo-Prince George; nomination period closed

An independent has entered the race in Cariboo-Prince George.

With the deadline to file nomination papers now past, Elections Canada confirms there are six candidates.

Michael Orr is running as an independent. Orr is no stranger to politics, having run as an independent in the riding in 2004.

Also confirmed as candidates are Conservative Todd Doherty, Liberal Tracy Calogheros, New Democrat Heather Sapergia, Green Party candidate Mackenzie Kerr, and People’s Party of Canada candidate Jing Lan Yang.

In the Prince George-Peace River-Northern Rockies riding, the confirmed candidates are Conservative Bob Zimmer, Liberal Mavis Erickson, New Democrat Marcia Luccock, Green Party candidate Catharine Kendall, and People’s Party of Canada candidate Ron Vaillant.
