A sold-out crowd at the Coast Prince George’s Wine Lovers Dinner enjoyed a fantastic night on the Mediterranean enjoying the culinary flavours of Italy paired with what else – wine.
This year’s dinner, focused on the classic cooking techniques characteristic of Italy. The carefully selected wines highlighted how far wine culture has grown and how varied wines can be across Italy. The generosity of attending donors was overwhelming in support of the Spirit of the North Healthcare Foundation raising more than $110,000.
Proceeds will purchase SimMom, a birthing simulator. Learning to make quick decisions during childbirth can mean the difference between life and death. Preparing for these unexpected, high‐risk events by accurately assessing and responding appropriately, the well‐trained healthcare professional to be better equipped to ensure the best possible outcomes. As a teaching hospital, providing state of the art equipment for both learning and treatment in a nonjudgemental environment is supportive. It is also important to help attract and retain healthcare professionals to the region.
