Thirteen B.C. universities and colleges are hosting a free public post-secondary information night on Thursday, October 3 starting at 7 p.m. in the Canfor Winter Garden at UNBC.
The evening event is designed to allow both parents and students to meet informally with university and college representatives, ask questions and gather the most current information from as many institutions as they want, as they look ahead to making decisions on which college or university they might attend.
While post-secondary reps have visited high schools in the region for many years, the school-hour schedule makes it difficult for parents to participate in the conversation. This is the sixth year that Post-Secondary BC [PSBC] has hosted an information night for students and parents.
PSBC is a collaborative of BC post-secondary institution recruitment offices working together as partners to support students, parents and high school counsellors in BC high schools. The PSBC mandate is to assist students and parents with finding both the institution and the program of study that best fits their personal strengths and career objectives.
