Threats to child care facility results in charges

In early to mid-March the Prince George RCMP received several anonymous threats toward Polaris Montessori School and an independent child care centre near the school.

At the time, immediate precautionary measures were taken in order to ensure the safety of the children attending both the school and child care centre.

The Prince George RCMP has conducted a thorough investigation into the threats and on September 6, charges were laid against 23-year-old Emily Holland, formerly of Prince George. She has been charged with four counts of uttering threats to cause death or bodily harm. Holland was arrested on the outstanding charges and has since been released on bail.

Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 13.
