A 27-year-old Prince George man is facing charges after police stopped him in a stolen vehicle Friday.
At about 11:45 a.m. Friday the Prince George RCMP received a report from of an off-duty officer who recognized a stolen Chevrolet pickup being driven near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Carney Street.
A short time later, officers converged on the stolen vehicle at the intersection of Highway 97 and 15th Avenue. The lone occupant was arrested without incident and the vehicle was recovered.
Gordon Wilfred Pagens has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was held in custody through weekend and will appear in provincial court later today.
The vehicle had been reported stolen from an address on Fort Street at approximately 5:30 a.m. the same day.
