Two people are facing charges after a stolen vehicle was recovered by Prince George RCMP Friday.
Just after 8:30 pm. an officer with the Prince George RCMP’s Youth Team identified a stolen vehicle being driven along Victoria Street.
Several officers converged on the vehicle near the intersection of Victoria Street and Fourth Avenue. Five adult occupants of the vehicle were initially arrested at the scene.
The driver, a 24-year-old man from Prince George, was originally held overnight but was released on Saturday August 24 on a promise to appear document for court on October 9.
A 37-year-old female passenger from Terrace was found to be in possession of what appeared to be controlled substances. She was released on a promise to appear document for court in February 2020. Analysis of the substances and charge approval from the Federal Prosecution Service of Canada will be sought. The three remaining passengers were released without charge.
The vehicle, a Ford F-150 pickup, had been report stolen from Fraser Lake on Monday August 13.
The investigation is continuing.
