Great Park Escape for kids returns on Saturday

In 2017 Prince George housed our sister communities due to the fires that threatened their home.

Prince George Hospice Society identified the need to support these displaced children as they all suffered symptoms of grief. Grief in children is profound and may be caused by the loss of many different things. Forget the Fires was a community phenomenon, a wildly successful event came together with in 48 hours.

Last year PG Hospice Society recognized the need to create awareness around the incredible work our community’s non-profits were doing to support children. The Great Park Escape was created. Multiple organizations put on a day of fun and entertainment for Prince George kids … all free and all welcome.

This is not a fundraiser.

This year Connect PG is doing it again along with The Exploration Place, YMCA, Two Rivers Art Gallery, Hospice and more organizations. Free hotdogs, jumpy castle, crafts and other kid friendly activities.
