Pacific Coastal Airlines is adding a new, non-stop Saturday service between Victoria and Prince George beginning Saturday, October 12.
The Saturday flight is scheduled to depart Victoria International Airport (YYJ) at 10:50 a.m. arriving at Prince George International Airport (YXS) at 12:30 p.m. The aircraft will depart Prince George at 1 p.m., arriving back in Victoria at 2:40 p.m.
“We have seen a significant amount of passenger growth on this route since we introduced a second daily flight on June 23,” said Johnathan Richardson, Pacific Coastal Airlines’ Vice President of Commercial Services, in a news release. “Pacific Coastal is proud to provide the only non-stop flight option between Victoria and Prince George.”
“It is terrific news that Pacific Coastal is extending their non-stop service between Prince George and Victoria to seven days a week. Thirteen non-stop flights a week will make it easier to do business or visit family on Vancouver Island,” said John Gibson, President & CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority.
“It’s great to see Pacific Coastal expanding their service between Victoria and Prince George. Additional service means added convenience for travellers and indicates that the market supports the route. We wish them continued success,” said Geoff Dickson, Victoria Airport Authority President and CEO.
Additional capacity is also being added to the route as evening service on Fridays and Sundays are being upgraded to the 30-seat Saab 340 aircraft effective October 6.
