Retail store compound targeted twice

Twice in just over a week, a local box retail chain has been the victim of a break-in to their outdoor compound.

On Wednesday July 17, the Prince George RCMP received a report from Canadian Tire advising of the theft of four kayaks from their compound overnight.  The theft occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m.

Two Pelican “The Catch 130” fishing kayaks valued at approximately $2,000 each and two Pelican “Summit 100” kayaks valued at approximately $500 each, were stolen.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. on Wednesday July 24, the same compound was broken into.  Two suspects gained entry and stole four kayaks, one Pelican “The Catch 120”, two pelican “Escape 120” and one Pelican “Maxim 100” kayaks were stolen. 

Investigators believe that the same two persons are responsible for both these thefts.
