Dease Lake RCMP have released a composite sketch of the man found deceased near a burned truck July 19.
They are hoping the sketch will help them identify the man.
The investigation into the disappearance of Kam Mcleod, and Bryer Schmegelsky, who were travelling in the vehicle that was burned, continues.
On July 19, 2019 the Dease Lake RCMP responded to a vehicle fire south of Stikine River Bridge on Highway 37. While investigating the vehicle additional information led police to discover a body at a nearby Highway pullout.
As a result of the ongoing investigative efforts, RCMP have confirmed that the deceased male, located approximately two kilometres south from the vehicle fire, is neither Kam McLeod nor Bryer Schmegelsky.
The deceased male is described as
- Between 5 foot 8 and 5 foot 10
- Caucasian
- Heavy build
- 50 to 60 years old
- Grey hair and grey bushy beard
