Leap from third floor window doesn’t help escape from the long arm of the law

Jumping from a third floor isn’t a good idea at the best of times. Doing it when the police are after you and are waiting on the ground with a dog team definitely isn’t a good idea.

A 25-year-old man tried it anyway Friday as police executed a search warrant on a residence in the 1300-block of 15th Avenue Friday.

He was met by a police service dog team and taken into custody shortly after.  Police say he was found in possession of a significant amount of cash, cocaine, and heroin or fentanyl or combination of both.  The suspect suffered minor injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.  Two other suspects were located in the residence, a 28-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman.  Both are residents of Prince George.  More drugs and cash were located.

A second warrant was executed at a residence in the 200-block of North Ospika Boulevard.  A 27-year-old Prince George man was located and arrested in the residence.

Search of this residence found also found a significant amount of cash.

All four suspects have been released from custody pending further investigation.
