The Prince George RCMP have made several arrests after executing a search warrant on a home on Chilako Drive.
Throughout the morning and before police attended, at about 10:30 a.m., a number of people arrived and departed the residence in vehicles. The search warrant was part of an ongoing investigation into drug trafficking at the residence.
In all, nine adult suspects were arrested in three vehicles. When the third vehicle was pulled over by frontline officers, one of the passengers was identified as 38-year-old Eric Vern West. West was wanted on a number of charges stemming from a shooting incident that occurred in the 2200-block of Quince Street on April 5. West was arrested without incident. Search of the vehicle found a quantity of drugs and a firearm. West will appear in court later today.
The search of the residence found ammunition and drug trafficking paraphernalia. All remaining suspects have been released pending further investigation.
