Suspect arrested following armed robbery

One man has been arrested following an early morning armed robbery Wednesday.

Prince George RCMP received a report of a possible hold-up alarm at a business on 20th Avenue near Vine Street at about 8:15 a.m.

Several officers attended the area.  Initial indications were that a man entered the business with a blunt weapon and demanded cash before fleeing on a bike.  No injuries reported.

A short time later, officers were able to locate and arrest a 23-year-old Prince George man believed to be responsible for the armed robbery in the parking lot at Parkwood Mall.

Officers remain in the area gathering evidence.

This investigation is still in the early stages.  More information may be provided as it becomes available.
