Sinkhole causes closure of Connaught Hill Park to vehicular traffic

Please be advised that Connaught Hill Park has been closed to vehicular traffic due to a sinkhole located directly in front of the park entrance at the intersection of Connaught Drive and Caine Drive.

The cause of the sinkhole is believed to be a failed catch basin, which was installed in the early 1970s.

The City expects that the park will be closed to traffic for at least a couple of days while crews work to repair the basin.

Residents will be notified once the park is re-opened to traffic.
