Sixth Avenue to be permanently closed between Dominion and Quebec streets

Sixth Avenue between Dominion Street and Quebec Street will be permanently closed to vehicle traffic on Tuesday, May 21 starting at 6:00am to facilitate the future construction of a new hotel in the area.

Sixth Avenue between Dominion Street and Quebec Street will be permanently closed to vehicle traffic on Tuesday, May 21 starting at 6:00am to facilitate the future construction of a new hotel. Access through the work site will be limited to construction equipment.

The road closure is necessary to allow for the installation of trailers related to the future construction of the project led by Mundi Hotel Enterprises Inc. and constructed by Horizon North Logistics Inc.

The road closure and sale was approved by Council in 2018.
