Two men have been charged following Thursday morning’s report of shots being fired in the Hart.
Ravinesh Sharma, 32, and Justin Pawluck, 35, have both been charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a firearm knowing the possession knowing the possession is unauthorized, possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, and possession contrary to prohibition order.
Prince George RCMP arrested three people following report of shots being fired from a vehicle in the early hours on Thursday near the corner of the John Hart Highway and Shady Lane.
The incident happened at about 3:20 a.m. The shots were reportedly coming from a vehicle driving southbound on the highway.
Approximately 10 minutes later, the suspect vehicle was located near the intersection of 15th Avenue and Alward Street in Prince George. Officers detained the three adult occupants, two men and a woman, as part of the investigation. A search warrant was obtained and executed on the vehicle and a loaded handgun was found.
Sharma and Pawluck have been held in custody until their next court appearance scheduled for May 3.
Recommended charges for the female driver, who has been released from police custody, have been forwarded to the Prince George Crown’s Office for their review.
