One man was injured in what police are calling a targeted shooting in Prince George Friday.
Police were called out to the 2200-block of Quince Street at about 4:15 p.m.
The investigation led officers to believe that an altercation between two groups of people known to each other occurred in the alley to the west of Quince Street. During the altercation, bear spray was deployed, followed by multiple gun shots. All those involved fled the scene. One of the four suspects was arrested nearby and the lone victim was located in a black SUV a short time later. The man was suffering from a single, not life-threatening gunshot wound and was transported to hospital for treatment.
Police say this was a targeted attack between people known to each other, and was associated to the drug trade. Investigators believe that there were people in the immediate area who witnessed this incident. Those people are being asked to come forward and contact police. RCMP are also requesting the public’s help to locate three other male suspects believed to be involved in this shooting.
