Danol hat trick forces series back to Prince George

Chase Danol wanted to be the reason the Coquitlam Express had to get back on the bus to Prince George for Game 5 in the BCHL first Round Playoff Series.

Danol picked up all three goals and Clay Stevenson made 31 saves for a shutout as the Express were able to extend the series to Thursday night with a 3-0 victory.

After a scoreless first period, Danol made a great move in tight to open the scoring in the second frame, beating Logan Neaton from in close.

A power-play goal in the third period, followed by an empty netter made it a 3-0 game.

Stevenson made the biggest difference on a third period penalty kill, robbing Ben Brar on a tight chance, and made a couple other key stops as well.

Game 5 in the Best of Seven will go Thursday night in Prince George with puck drop slated for 7 p.m. All tickets are $10 and go on sale at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
