Three people are in custody following a home invasion earlier today.
Police were called to a residence on West Austin Road at about 10:45 a.m. while the home invasion was still in progress.
Initial indications were that two men forced their way into an occupied residence.
When police arrive, two men fled the residence on foot, but were arrested before getting to an awaiting vehicle. A male youth occupant of the vehicle was also arrested. A modified firearm was located and seized near the scene. Stolen property, a replica firearm and a small quantity of drugs were also seized during the investigation.
Four adults were in the residence at the time of the incident. One received minor injuries.
A 19-year-old man, 27-year-old male and a 17-year-old youth male, will be held in custody overnight and will appear in provincial court tomorrow.
Investigators believe that this was a targeted incident between persons known to each other.
