Environment Canada’s extreme cold warning for the central interior continues today.

A cold arctic airmass has settled over the central interior. The cold temperatures and winds will combine to produce wind chill values near -40 degrees Celsius this morning this morning.

Extreme cold puts everyone at risk.

Risks are greater for young children, older adults, people with chronic illnesses, people working or exercising outdoors, and those without proper shelter.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to or tweet reports using #BCStorm.
