St. Vincent de Paul is looking for donations of old boots.
“This week we’ve had drop-in guests arriving for meals wearing nothing but socks, broken shoes, even wet boots lined with plastic bags,” reads a post on the society’s Facebook page. “It’s brutally cold on the streets. Our Thrift Store’s supply of boots is dwindling fast and we can’t keep up with a very real need. So please, if you can help, we’d be most grateful. If you find any WINTER BOOTS that you no longer want, we’re in *desperate* need. We accept boots for women, men, and children.”
You can contact the society at 250-564-7871 or on their Facebook page.
