Cougars acquire seventh round draft choice from Portland

The Prince George Cougars Hockey Club has acquired a seventh-round selection in the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft from the Portland Winterhawks.

In exchange, the Cougars have traded the playing rights of forward Bobby Brink (’01) to the Winterhawks. Brink is currently playing in Sioux City in the United States Hockey League.

If the Winterhawks sign Brink, the Cougars will receive a second-round selection in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft. If Brink is on the Winterhawks roster on or before January 10, 2019, the Cougars then receive an additional fourth-round selection in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft. if Brink is on the Winterhawks roster on or before October 10, 2019, the Cougars would then receive an additional sixth-round selection in the 2021 WHL Bantam Draft.

The Cougars are back from the Christmas break, as they kick-off the second half of the season tonight against the Seattle Thunderbirds at the ShoWare Center in Kent, WA; the puck drops at 7:35 pm. Fans can listen to the game on 943. The GOAT, or they can watch online via WHL Live.
