Operation Red Nose ready for the weekend

Operation Red Nose Prince George will have 18 teams out on the road both Friday and Saturday nights to provide safe rides home to party-goers on the last weekend before Christmas.

Comparatively in 2017 on the same weekend, 95 rides were provided on Night 7 (Friday) and 151 on Night 8 (Saturday). In 2010, a record 319 rides (142 on Friday, 177 on Saturday) were given on the fourth weekend. So far after six nights of 2018, volunteers have provided 586 rides and travelled 15,048 km.

Those who require a safe ride home can call 250-962-7433 between 9 p.m. – 3 a.m. Clients must have a vehicle with valid B.C. license plates. All donations go towards youth and amateur sport organizations in Prince George.

Operation Red Nose is organized by the Rotary Club of Prince George – Nechako in partnership with ICBC and the Prince George RCMP.
