Miracle Theatre has announced that the production sponsor for their upcoming comedy, Halfway There is Wood Wheaton Supercentre.
“As the play’s senior sponsor, Wood Wheaton’s contribution of $5,000 is a real boost to the project during this stage of our preparations,” said Anne Laughlin, producer.
Over the past three years Miracle Theatre productions have raised more than $144,000 which has been donated to Prince George’s Salvation Army Food Bank/27 Million Voices, Spirit of the North, and United Way.
Halfway There is being produced for the sole benefit of the Prince George Community Foundation which will receive 100 per cent of the proceeds. The monies raised will establish a Children of Prince George Fund, where the income earned will be granted back to children related charities in Prince George. The Prince George Community Foundation, established in 1995, is a registered charity committed to supporting our community. To date over $1.5 has been granted back to the community.
Wood Wheaton Supercentre is a long standing contributor to the Prince George Community Foundation and a new sponsor of Miracle Theatre’s fundraising efforts.
“It has been said that without a sense of caring there can be no sense of community. In this spirit of community, Wood Wheaton is proud to assist Miracle Theatre in its support of the Prince George Community Foundation,” said Don Willimont, general sales manager
Halfway There will run February 28 to March 20. Tickets are now available at Books and Company or by phone at 250-563-6637. Gift vouchers are also available for those on your Christmas List.
“They make a perfect ‘experience’ gift,” Laughlin said. ‘This show is guaranteed to bring lots of cheer during the time of year when laughter is absolutely the best medicine.”
