Shots fired near nature trail

Police are continuing to investigate reports a shooting Sunday evening.

At about 8:45 p.m., the Prince George RCMP received several calls of shots fired in the area between the 2400 blocks of Oak Street and Victoria Street.

Several officers, including a police dog team, responded.  An SKS-type rifle was located near the pathway along the Centennial Trail between Oak Street and Pine Street.  No suspects were located in the area and no reports of injuries have been made. 

The investigation is continuing.
